A Day Out...

God it's been so hot here past two weeks, So hot that I hardly sit at the computer for the heat coming off it alone is enough to fry a egg on, But today we decided to head on out,theres only so long that you can sit inside and melt away, So off we went out to a few places i love and a few we hadn't passed through before,So first off it was lavender Farm again,The fields are just aray with purple colour,it's a wonderful sight to see as you drive down to the Farm..

Once there we forgot it was their day of open events,  It was so busy , we wondered around briefly as the queue's to pay for anything were so long, I just couldn't take the heat standing around,So it was a quickie look round,Although the smell of their Roast Beef Burgers was luring me to stay, I just knew i wasn't going to stand in a line and wait for ages for one!

Then off we went for a drive through a place called Otford, And there is a little treasure of a Antique Shop, were i bought a beautiful quilt ,Tablecloth and Tea Set, I got quite a bargain there,as the ladies who served us thought hubby was so good taking me out on World Cup Final day haha...Havn't had a chance to take a pic of my finds but will do tomorrow.

With 2 kids in tow and getting pretty bored by this point, we went and ate at the local Harvester nearby,With full tummies we headed off again to a place called Seal and then through Borough Green and a village called Platt,What absolutly beautiful Villages they are, we stumbled upon a beautiful lake with a house that sat on the edge we had to stop and take pics,Although hubby said we could be had up for being stalkers!

Isn't it just wonderful, Oh to be the owners what a dream!

It's my birthday on Sunday and hubby had some beautiful flowers delivered to the shop today,Wow they were amazing, So big the boquet was i could hardly pick it up, he is just a wonderful hubby im such a lucky gal.

Yeah it's hot, and i wish it would cool down a tad, as much as i love the warm weather ,it's either one thing or the other,I'm turning into a winging old bag moaning about the heat all the time, so fingers crossed it cools down and i can sleep without a full pelt fan on.

And here's Buttons in a box, he got attacked again by the beastly Tom cat now he is scared to go further than the patio, poor cat!

I'm Famous! erm well not really....

Well as some of you know i entered my little Summerhouse shed in the Readers Shed of the year, there were thousands upon thousands of entries, and i was wittled down to a winner of my catergory,WOWZERS!!! How on earth i did that i never know, The overall winner is picked in July and there are some very worthy winners there, But i was so happy to hear that there was a article in the Sun Newspaper today about the sheds, nothing written about me, but a wee small pic of my shed.. Oh my i'm in print. haha....So buy the paper or see it online,yes i know it's a not a favorite paper for all but i'm so happy to be in there, i will have to frame it!!!

Right off to work, it's another hot one today!

Blimey it's a hot one!

It's a hot roasting day, and all i have done is go from room to room trying to tidy up,you know how it is ,you start one thing,then go in another room to put something down,then you find your doing something else,befor you know it,you forget what you were doing to start with!

Selling my old dresser and purchased a new one on Ebay, I sat sweating! nearly having a nervous breakdown trying to make sure i won it, i kept getting pipped to the post all the time, how frustrating ebay can be sometimes,Well i'm so glad that's over now,and have my pretty dresser already. Also been out and cut down some lovely flowers and bits from the garden, flowers always cheer me up no end,Hubby used to bring them home as a surprise, these days he can just about bring himself home, as he works so hard in our shop,aww bless him...

Last week popped in  a lovely shop thats been open a few weeks, the lady there weaves baskets and repairs chairs, and has loads of old furniture and nic naks for sale, i bought some lovely material and a small cupboard,i'm gonna give it a lick of paint and remove the door, as hubby says it looks like a dart board,what doe's he know anyway, also bought a great chair from the charity shop gonna cover the cushion and have somewhere comfy to sit and lounge in the garden,thats when i ever get out there,bet you one of the cats gets on it befor me!

Nelly The Keeper

My gosh this week has been busy,My Daughter Emily was 12 this week,So inbetween rushing around getting prezzie's and working it's been a mad one, I was told by Emily how dare the world cup start on her birthday,It's over riding her special day, I swear sometimes she acts like a 25 year old,but she had a good evening after school, birthday cake was something i picked up in marks & Sparks And i put a candle that opened up into a flower and played happy birthday on the top,A friend gave 2 of them to me, it was fab! Although stupid me who jumps in first, realised i was meant to submerge the bottom bit in the cake..

Also yes i been at it again buying a tv unit for 50p in a charity shop, It's the kinda thing you had in the 60's but i love it, and a friend who is doing up there kitchen was chucking out the quaint dresser, of course i was there to say i would have that,And i think i'm weighing up wether to paint it white or not.It's lovely with real nice carvings on it.

And On to the garden my lupins are doing oh so well ,yes i am suprised as i never used to be able to keep anything alive for more than a week a few years back..

Oh have i ever mentioned Nelly to you, She is the keeper of the garden ,She watches over all my plants,cats, kids, etc.. She is my owl and sits proudly in the middle of the garden keeping foxes and nasty slugish things away!

The Deflated Paddling Pool

Kids do love a paddling pool even my two who are a bit big to fit in it, Filled up with lovely freezing water, and in they go, 20 minutes into the fun and 6 holes later repaired with a cycling puncture kit, it started going down! i guess thats it then,it's ready for the bin,Well fun was had by all ,I even managed to finish my chairs off, in the heat in the garden, They don't match the table but i'm planning on painting that when i get round to painting the living room soon.

At least my chairs don't look so sorry for themselves now,much better i think!
